Xander Zhou SS17

Xander Zhou's SS17 collection re-emphasized the London-based designer's affinity for capturing tribal youths. A collection centered around anti-establishment, the collection cleverly reflected an irreverent attitude. Models clothed in a range of fabrics — PVC, leather, and lurex — walked the runway. Recalling the 90's grunge era, the designer used oversized shirts and hoodies draping over the bodies to make a statement. Stripes and camouflage were prevalent throughout the collection. Zhou used accessories to accentuate each look — bandana handkerchiefs tied around necks, chains running from trousers to shirts or fastened around waists, and chokers with the "FREEDOM". Distressed trench coats were also a focal point of the decidedly modern collection.
