Lou Dalton SS17

Instinctively, each time a Lou Dalton show comes about, there's always that line from Pierre Bonnard that comes to mind. It goes like "if men knew what women think they would at least be twenty times more audacious."
There's always a peculiar charm with a female designer doing menswear. It has something to do with pushing things without overtly overdoing it. So, how about a nice statement with a bright yellow blazer or a vermilion jacket for spring? Dalton gestures on something bold yet it still keeps that innately composed notion of a man. There's this particularly contemporary allure of her male muse for the season donning a dressy sportswear meets a tailored vibe as seen through pyjama like pieces worn with a bomber jacket to graphic floral prints of yellow, brown and white. A mixture of tech fabrics and interesting textures also adds a new experimental touch while still in tune with her tailored aesthetic.
