CMMN SWDN SS17

CMMN SWDN has developed a reputation for creating hybrid quality wardrobe staples mixed with standout pieces. Designers Saif Bakir and Emma Hedlund constantly find new ways of translating youth subcultures into their bold and progressively sartorial collections. For their SS17 'Market Rodeo' collection, the designers turned to North Africa for inspiration — referencing the dusty streets of Morocco. Transporting the modern male from congested city streets to the bustling streets of Marrakesh, the designers ingested bold colors juxtaposed with neutral classics — billowing silk pink blouses, black tailored leather pants, red mesh tops, and pinstripe trousers. Bakir and Hedlund introduced wardrobe staples — an oversized black and white checkered coat and burnt orange knee length shorts — easily paired with classic pieces. Skinny leather belts dangling towards the floor only propelled the overall effect.
